Y2K Inspired Outfits From Our Cute Boutique
Y2K inspired fashion has been all the rage for the last few years, and we don’t think the trend is dying down anytime soon. If you’re not familiar with Y2k fashion, the trend recreates styles from the late 1990’s and early 2000’s. While this trend often involves bright colors and funky prints, we’re putting our own Morning Lavender spin on the aesthetic. Get inspired with these Y2K inspired outfits from our online boutique!
Floral Cami Midi Dress
This era was all about fun florals, so bring on the blooms! Our Zuri Floral Cami Dress has a figure skimming silhouette and adjustable straps. Covered in a delicate floral pattern, this sage midi is one to remember. We love how versatile this piece is–it can be styled up or down, so it’s definitely earned its place in our hearts. Fresh and feminine, the Zuri Floral Cami Dress is like an early 2000’s dream come true!
When we think of the ultimate 2000’s accessory, butterfly clips immediately come to mind. Our Sydney Butterfly Clip comes in six colors, including a green that matches our midi dress. Lastly, layer on the Dina Distressed Denim Jacket. This sweet outfit feels like a grown-up take on Lizzie McGuire!

Black Floral Slip Midi Skirt
Make it a midi moment with our Ellis Slip Midi Skirt! Our black floral midi features a youthful daisy pattern. The flouncy hem adds movement, giving this piece a dynamic feel. Pastels and florals are a popular spring and summer combination; the black daisy pattern makes this midi a fantastic transition piece. The unlined style makes this a lightweight, easy to wear skirt. Times have changed, but midis never go out of style!
For a monochromatic, streamlined look, we paired this midi with our Kristen Sleeveless Crop Top. This black cropped tank is an essential basic. It’s comfortable and laid back, but still looks chic when paired with our floral midi. Finally, accessorize with the Ellen Twisted Hoops. Tiny gold hoops make any outfit feel polished and complete. You’ll look like a rom-com darling in this little ensemble!

Tie Front Cami Top
Sun’s up…it’s a little after twelve… time to put on the Ruth Tie Front Top and get ready for the perfect day! This sweetheart neckline tank has adjustable cami straps and a ribbon tie detail. Faded blue florals feel familiar and nostalgic, like high school days spent hanging out at the mall. A ruffled hem gives this peplum blouse shape. This fun flowy crop top is Y2-cute!
We paired this top with classic blue jeans. The Adina Slim Straight Jean is made from a comfortable stretch denim and features distressed details. Crystal clear jelly sandals are a necessary finishing touch. We put our own twist on the jelly trend with our Splash Jelly Sandal. These sandals are made from a jelly material, but the style is more contemporary. Mix it all together and you’ll look as pretty as a Polly Pocket!

Pink Satin Slip Dress
Candlelit dinner date? A silky satin slip dress is sure to impress! The Marissa Crossed Back Slip comes in a gorgeous champagne rose that exudes romance. Cowl necklines were super popular during this era, but we’ve been embracing them again recently! This style adds a nice decorative detail to any piece. Slip dresses have a simple beauty about them, but elements like the crossed back and slits keep the gown feeling fresh. We think Elle Woods would totally approve of this pretty pink slip!
Keep the accessories light and ladylike. For jewelry, we went with our Lyla Double Circle Choker–what’s more Y2k than a choker? This necklace is a little more grownup than the chokers we wore back then. Our gold chain necklace boasts tiny circle pendants. Pin your hair up with the Jolie Rose Claw Clip. Once again, we think our accessory is a sophisticated take on an iconic 2000’s accessory. This quintessential Y2K ‘fit is prom princess material!

Teal Halter Midi Dress
Get the party started in our Faye Halter Midi Dress! A halter neckline and exposed midriff make this dress ideal for fun-loving gals. This dress is all about contrast–the daring style and bright color are muted by a delicate, girlish floral pattern. An elastic waist gives the piece a comfortable fit. Our midi is surprisingly maternity friendly, which is an added bonus in our book. We think this floral frock is the definition of funky!
Accessorize with pieces that match the vibe. Make a statement with the Juniper Crystal Double Chain Earrings. These dangly crystal earrings are a classy choice. Lastly, slip on the Delana Heeled Jelly Sandal. Jellies were a popular style, but the heeled style brings them into the present. Turn up your favorite Y2K anthems–it’s time to dance!
